CSR Actions
Miyoshi Kasei Group has established “Miyoshi Kasei Group CSR Charter” in order to clearly communicate our responsibility and commitment for society, environment and all stakeholders, in which we pledge the followings in order to realize sustainable society.
- We will provide reliable, safe, and high-quality products and services to consumers and that are friendly to both society and the environment.
- We will conduct our business as a socially responsible company, guided by our values, commitments, ethics, and rules, and centered on the Miyoshi Kasei Group slogan, “TREATING YOU RIGHT.”
- We will implement and follow up CSR activities in close cooperation between the management and the employees.
- We will contribute to society by continuously providing high quality and highly functional products as an important stakeholder in the cosmetic ingredients field.
Group CSR Vision
Aiming to promote CSR activities across Miyoshi Kasei Group, in 2022, we have launched a group-wide initiative called SDPI, who plays a central role to resolve environment, society, and governance issues of our group. We report our activities annually to Ecovadis and CDP as well as UNGC. We have also set GHG emission reduction targets through SBTi and are proactively working to achieve them.
Participation in Global Initiatives
Miyoshi Kasei Group is committed to promoting sustainable business practices that respect human rights and protect the global environment. To this end, we participate in the following international initiatives:
United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)

The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with United Nations, corporations and various organizations working together to promote responsible business practices and build a sustainable global society.
Miyoshi Kasei Group signed the UN Global Compact in 2022 and supports its Ten Principles in the four areas of Human Rights, Labor, Environment, and Anti-Corruption. We will continue our efforts to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organization that allow companies to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions targets.
Miyoshi Kasei Group has set a goal to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030, using 2018 as the base year. We are also committed to measuring and reducing Scope 3 emissions across our supply chain. These targets were officially approved and published by the SBTi in 2023.
RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil)

Since 2019, Miyoshi Kasei Group has been a member of the RSPO, a global non-profit organization, which works to mitigate the negative impacts of palm oil production on the environment, wildlife, and local communities.
Through responsible sourcing, we contribute to building a more sustainable and ethical supply chain. Additionally, all four of our sites have obtained RSPO Mass Balance Supply Chain Certification, which ensures that certified palm oil is managed responsibly throughout the manufacturing and distribution processes.
Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI)

The Responsible Mica Initiative is an international non-profit organization working to eliminate child labor and poor working conditions in the mica supply chain.
Miyoshi Kasei Group has been a supporter of RMI since 2018, promoting the ethical and transparent sourcing of raw materials. We continue to prioritize human rights and environmental responsibility throughout our supply chain.

Miyoshi Kasei Group’s sustainability initiatives have been assessed by several international evaluation organizations:
CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project)

CDP is a global non-profit organization that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system for companies, capital markets, cities, states, and regions to manage their environmental impacts. Miyoshi Kasei Group has been responding to CDP questionnaires since 2013. In 2024, our final score was a “C” for Climate Change, a “B” for Water and a “C” for Forest.
EcoVadis

EcoVadis is a SaaS company that offers a range of sustainability solutions designed to help the organization manage, measure, and improve its sustainability performance across the entire value chain. EcoVadis Ratings provides a detailed assessment of the company’s sustainability performance in areas such as Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
Since 2019, Miyoshi Kasei Group has undergone annual assessments by EcoVadis. In 2026, Miyoshi Kasei Group were awarded the Silver Medal for our performance.
