We report our activities annually to Ecovadis and CDP as well as UNGC. We have also set GHG emission reduction targets through SBTi and are proactively working to achieve them.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<article class=\"section_in\">\n<h3><i>P<\/i>articipation in Global Initiatives<\/h3>\n<p>Miyoshi Kasei Group is committed to promoting sustainable business practices that respect human rights and protect the global environment. To this end, we participate in the following international initiatives:<\/p>\n<h4>United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"grid_csr\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/unglobalcompact.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\"\n                                src=\"https:\/\/www.miyoshikaseigroup.com\/f2ideysw\/wp-content\/themes\/wp\/assets\/img\/csr\/logo00001.png\" class=\"grid_csr_img1\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The UN Global Compact is the world&#8217;s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with United Nations, corporations and various organizations working together to promote responsible business practices and build a sustainable global society.<br \/>\nMiyoshi Kasei Group signed the UN Global Compact in 2022 and supports its Ten Principles in the four areas of Human Rights, Labor, Environment, and Anti-Corruption. We will continue our efforts to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"grid_csr\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sciencebasedtargets.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\"\n                                src=\"https:\/\/www.miyoshikaseigroup.com\/f2ideysw\/wp-content\/themes\/wp\/assets\/img\/csr\/logo00002.png\" class=\"grid_csr_img2\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organization that allow companies to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions targets.<br \/>\nMiyoshi Kasei Group has set a goal to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030, using 2018 as the base year. We are also committed to measuring and reducing Scope 3 emissions across our supply chain. These targets were officially approved and published by the SBTi in 2023.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil)<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"grid_csr\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rspo.org\/members\/9-2729-18-000-00\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miyoshikaseigroup.com\/f2ideysw\/wp-content\/themes\/wp\/assets\/img\/csr\/logo00003.png\"\n                                class=\"grid_csr_img3\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Since 2019, Miyoshi Kasei Group has been a member of the RSPO, a global non-profit organization, which works to mitigate the negative impacts of palm oil production on the environment, wildlife, and local communities.<br \/>\nThrough responsible sourcing, we contribute to building a more sustainable and ethical supply chain. Additionally, all four of our sites have obtained RSPO Mass Balance Supply Chain Certification, which ensures that certified palm oil is managed responsibly throughout the manufacturing and distribution processes.\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI)<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"grid_csr\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/responsible-mica-initiative.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\"\n                                src=\"https:\/\/www.miyoshikaseigroup.com\/f2ideysw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/LOGO-VERTICAL-RMI-RVB_BLACK_BW.png\" class=\"grid_csr_img4\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The Responsible Mica Initiative is an international non-profit organization working to eliminate child labor and poor working conditions in the mica supply chain.<br \/>\nMiyoshi Kasei Group has been a supporter of RMI since 2018, promoting the ethical and transparent sourcing of raw materials. We continue to prioritize human rights and environmental responsibility throughout our supply chain.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<article class=\"section_in\">\n<h3><i>E<\/i>xternal Evaluation<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Miyoshi Kasei Group\u2019s sustainability initiatives have been assessed by several international evaluation organizations:<\/p>\n<h4>CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project)<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"grid_csr\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdp.net\/en\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\"\n                                src=\"https:\/\/www.miyoshikaseigroup.com\/f2ideysw\/wp-content\/themes\/wp\/assets\/img\/csr\/logo00005.png\" class=\"grid_csr_img1\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>CDP is a global non-profit organization that runs the world&#8217;s only independent environmental disclosure system for companies, capital markets, cities, states, and regions to manage their environmental impacts. Miyoshi Kasei Group has been responding to CDP questionnaires since 2013. In 2024, our final score was a \u201cC\u201d for Climate Change, a &#8220;B&#8221; for Water and a \u201cC\u201d for Forest.<br \/>\n                    <\/P>\n                    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>EcoVadis<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"grid_csr\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/recognition.ecovadis.com\/639467Mc4U2Do2nIfjvz2Q\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\"\n                                    src=\"https:\/\/www.miyoshikaseigroup.com\/f2ideysw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Ecovadis-2026_Silver.png\" class=\"grid_csr_img6\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>EcoVadis is a SaaS company that offers a range of sustainability solutions designed to help the organization manage, measure, and improve its sustainability performance across the entire value chain. EcoVadis Ratings provides a detailed assessment of the company&#8217;s sustainability performance in areas such as Environment, Labor &#038; Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.<br \/>\nSince 2019, Miyoshi Kasei Group has undergone annual assessments by EcoVadis.
